Delhi, India 2019
The bars across the train window felt like another world to me. So did the air in Delhi; I could feel the pollution in my own breathing. The cloth over her face brought that experience into the frame. A photograph can hold a face, a place and the feeling of being there, without pretending to tell the whole story.
