Between the Shadows, Istanbul No. 1, Turkey 2017
I was sitting in a café in Istanbul when I noticed two people opposite me. The light gave one face to the sun and kept the other in shadow. One of my first street photographs, and still a way of remembering that city. Different cultures, beliefs and ways of living, meeting in the same place. We don't have to become the same to belong in the same frame.
